Last night I got to see the Phoenix Suns clinch a playoff berth live in Chicago against the Bulls. It was a great game, I got great seats, and they were complimentary thanks to a childhood friend who is a business partner with Dan Majerle, one of the coaches of the Suns and a former player. Pretty cool! Dillon and I went to the game, along with Elic and Carrie, who "bought" their tickets before I thought to ask my friend if Dan could hook us up.

All this to say, I got home late last night and instead of watching American Idol, I watched LOST. Because my allegiances have changed somewhat for Tuesday night viewing.

So I'll check out the AI week this afternoon maybe, and then let you know my thoughts. What did you think? I heard Lee did really well. Anyone else?

Lee did quite well - more personality, great song choice and had the audience involved totally. Plus he sang well (which helps). Crystal was good but I didn't like the piano part. She seemed very nervous to be at the piano and probably would have been better off just singing. Worst of the night hands down was Tim "Zack Efron" Urban. If the kid hit 10 notes on key, it was a miracle. Absolutely terrible, not as bad as Paige last week, but close.

almost forgot - Siobhan was almost as bad as Tim. Her low voice stunk, she was way off key and the song just didn't do anything for me. A really poor performance. On the upside, she didn't scream this week.

Lee rocked, Crystal was lovely but needs to shut up because she's starting to argue too much with Simon (I don't really care, she's not saying anything bad, but she might start to annoy voters), Michael passed, Casey passed (he seems so wooden to me, anyone agree?) and Andrew was good and got some I-Love-My-Mom points this week. I would like to see him sing en espanol at some point. Everyone else was bad, and I think Tim or Didi might be hitting the road. How much longer are people going to vote for that kid???? JMO, but he is really not good at all. My fave Simon line of the show was when he called Randy crazy for calling Katie a young Christina...lol love Simon keepin it real.

R and B night, too bad no one sang "Basketball Jones."

Most of the songs were so overdone.

Anyway, I have a hard time remembering names so I'm thankful to the above commenters...

Lee was so good. Casey seemed like a wannabe, Siobahn did scream, Didi was absolutely horrible--from her dress to her singing--horrible. Crystal's outfit was not a good choice for her, playing the piano--well, she was good, but she seemed to be staring at the keys until she got into the song. Tim--ugh times eleven (it's one louder). Andrew was quite enjoyable, and his song reminded me of a praise song that I was singing along and could only remember if I heard his song again. Michael was sweet. What's the name of the kid who looks like a 12-year-old J. Ferguson? Meh for him. And The SoNotChristina? She was spot on pitch wise but so boring, and her outfit was ridiculous. It was like she was 5 playing dress up in her big sister's skanky stuff and put it all on...
