American Idol - Nine times? Nine Times.

Hello all - well, the flu bug hit me yesterday, but that won't stop me today from commenting on the top nine, singing Elvis tunes. Here we go...

Crystal: "Saved" - Great opener. That song was right in her pocket.

Andrew: "Hound Dog" - This just didn't work. He's just about done.

Tim: "Can't Help Falling in Love" - very good. He isn't just a dreamboat after all...

Lee: "Little Less Conversation" - I generally don't care for this song. But Lee's got a good groove going on. Very Black Crowes.

Aaron: "Blue Suede Shoes" - "It's probably wrong in every possible way" - he said it, not me. How do you do this song and not wear blue shoes?

Siobhan: "Suspicious Minds" - Sleepy was the right word. Unless she's belting and beating the crap out of a song, she isn't interesting. So she gets there, but it's late.

Michael: "In The Ghetto" - Better than last week. I like him, i hope he gets through on the saving.

Katie: "Baby What do you want me to do" - good vocal, but still lacking spark.

Casey: "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" - Very good but not covering any new ground here.

Looking forward to losing two tomorrow. I think that this season has lacked anyone who has exhibited the "IT factor" that Simon always talked about. Have you noticed how that part of the conversation is totally missing this year? Even Crystal, who is awesome, has dead eyes. Will be interesting to see who goes home. Peace all!

Because I wasn't already way over Michael when he ruined This Woman's Work for me, now he goes and butchers another of my all time favorites. I need him to go. I hate that they wasted the save on him.
The show is boring me, as much as I love listening to Crystal and Lee, there just isn't much that is entertaining about them.

meh.

You know, last year I was all about Danny and creeped out by Adam. (So last night was so not enjoyable to me due to Adam's appearance as coach.) Kris, the final winner was so dull. So is this year really that different.

Lee will grow in stage presence, and he was good last night.

Mike did a fine job with "In the Ghetto" (I love Mac Davis tunes. Anyone else?) It's not his fault he had to remove the guts out of it for timing's sake.

I missed Crystal.

The rest--particularly Andrew and Katie--may leave the building.
